Priority stamps: An overview of their uses and advantages
Priority stamps relate to the priority postal service whereby the shipped mail is given preferential treatment over regular mail.
Why use a priority stamp?
- Faster delivery: A letter with a priority stamp is usually delivered faster than regular mail. This can be useful when the speed of delivery is important.
- Important documents: For important documents, such as contracts, official correspondence or other high-priority items, a priority stamp can mean that they reach the recipient faster..
- Attention and careful handling: Priority mail is generally treated with more attention and care during the delivery process, which reduces the risk of damage.
- Specific requirements: In some cases, regulations may require postal items to be sent as priority mail.

What are the prices of international priority stamps?
To send mail abroad, you need the appropriate international stamp. There are two types of stamps for sending letters abroad: Europe, for European destinations, and Rest of the World for outside Europe. However, the prices and number of stamps required for international post vary not only based on the destination, but also on the weight and size of your letter. For example, the franking of standard letters is different from the franking of non-standard letters.

Franking machine postal rates vs. letter collection with EasyPost
Companies that send mail every day often use alternative franking methods (franking machine, PB (postpaid) number, UV number or via Collect & Stamp) or priority stamps. This mailing method will also be more expensive in 2026. If you use a franking machine for your post, you will pay an average of 6% more than with EasyPost.
