Everything you need to know about digital registered mail
Paper-based registered mail might impress the recipient. But it also costs your organisation a considerable amount of time and money. So, is there a way of first sending your physical registered mail electronically? In a simple, secure and 100% reliable process, that preferably also offers reduced costs? Yes, you can do this via EasyPost. Here’s everything you need to know about digital registered mail.

What is digital registered mail?
It’s the same as paper-based registered mail, but 100% electronic. You send your letter electronically (i.e. in an email), after which you receive a receipt. This provides legal proof that you sent your mail on the correct date. Your recipient must first identify themselves using eID or itsme® before receiving the message. The data cannot be altered during transmission without this being detected.

Why opt to send mail electronically?
For a start, it saves you a considerable amount of time. After all, there’s little work involved in sending registered mail electronically. You can send the mail extremely quickly, and at a time of your convenience. Even when the post office is closed. In fact, you needn’t visit the post office at all.
Once sent, you receive detailed insight into the journey of your mail, which also provides the reassurance that your mail has reached the right recipient. Without any delay. And the best news of all? Digital registered mail costs you a fraction of the price of traditional registered mail.
